about me

hey, I’m ves!
in my early twenties I felt so disconnected from everything, from myself, from nature. eventually, I found myself standing in front of the big questions: what do I truly want? what moves me, and what do I want to move?

in 2022, I walked the camino. two weeks of nothing but myself and nature, learning to listen to my intuition again. I remembered the promise I made to myself as a child: one day, I will help animals. and I realized that what I want to do - what makes me truly happy - is actually quite simple:
create art and help animals.

that’s why I created SAMODIVI in 2023 - a name that reminds me why I do this. just like the slavic forest spirits Samodivi, I want to bring balance to this world by dedicating my work to animal protection.

I’ve set myself the goal of donating bits of my profits to animal welfare, but this is just the beginning. in the long run, I want to do so much more. SAMODIVI is still at the very start of its journey, and I‘m excited to see where it leads!

I hope SAMODIVI inspires you to remember your dreams and follow them, too. <3

who are the Samodivi?

Samodivi are wild nature spirits from south slavic folklore, deeply intertwined with the untamed wilderness. they roam through forests, rivers, and mountains, guarding the balance of the natural world. said to possess ancient knowledge of herbs and healing magic, they can bring both life and destruction. under the glow of the moon, they dance - one with the earth, elusive and fierce. disturbing them can drive a person mad or worse. they are protectors, but also a force to be reckoned with - seductive yet merciless, nurturing yet untamed. their existence is a reminder of the raw, untamed power of nature and the deep connection we share with it. to honor them is to honor the wild, to respect the delicate balance that holds everything together.
